Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 November 2026
In short
- We collect only what IntelloKids needs: a parent's name and email, and each child's first name or nickname, age and learning progress.
- We never sell data, never show ads to children and never build advertising profiles.
- Card details are handled by a secure, certified payment provider. We never see them.
- You can see, download or delete your family's data at any time.
1. Who is responsible
The IntelloKids team is responsible for your information. For any privacy question or request, email intellokids@gmail.com.
2. What we collect
- About you (the parent): name, email address, password (stored only in protected, non-readable form), language and subscription status.
- About your child: a first name or nickname, and age. We recommend using a nickname.
- Learning progress: activities played, levels, stars, correct answers, mistakes, time spent, stickers and colouring, so we can show you progress and adapt difficulty.
- Characters: the look your child chooses for themselves and for their virtual friend, and the friend's name.
- Technical information: basic device and browser information needed to run the service securely.
We do not collect children's photos, voice recordings, precise location, contacts or free-text messages.
3. Payments
Payments are processed by a secure, certified payment provider (named at checkout), which handles billing details under its own privacy policy. We never see or store your card details. The provider shares with us only what we need to manage your subscription, such as your email, plan, country and payment status.
4. How we use information
- To provide IntelloKids: save progress, unlock levels, grow the virtual friend and choose age-appropriate content.
- To show you how your child is learning.
- To manage your account and subscription and send important service messages.
- To keep the service safe and secure.
We never sell or rent personal information, show advertising to children, or use children's information for marketing.
5. Who we share it with
Only trusted providers that help us run IntelloKids, under agreements that protect your information: our payment provider (payments and subscriptions), GitHub Pages (website hosting) and, when cloud accounts launch, Amazon Web Services (secure data storage). We may disclose information if the law requires it or to protect a child's safety.
6. Security
How we store and protect your family's information is explained on our Data Security page. If a security incident affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authorities as the law requires.
7. How long we keep it
We keep information while your account is open. Deleting a child's profile deletes their progress. If you close your account, we delete your and your children's information within 30 days, except records the law requires us or our payment provider to keep (such as billing records).
8. Your rights
- See, correct or download the information we hold about you and your child.
- Ask us to delete it, or delete a child's profile yourself in the Parents' area.
- Withdraw your consent at any time; we will then stop collecting your child's information and delete it.
- Parents in the US: under COPPA you can review your child's information, have it deleted and refuse further collection.
- Complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email intellokids@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.
9. Children's privacy laws
IntelloKids is designed to comply with children's privacy laws, including the GDPR and UK GDPR, the UK Age Appropriate Design Code and the US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We collect children's information only with a parent's consent.
10. Changes
We will tell you about important changes to this policy by email or in the app before they apply.
